Day 254 – Shining Example

For round abouts a dollar you can get your shoes shined till you can see your face in them. There are thousand of these little stalls all over the city. Find one who is awaiting his next customer, jump up, place your feet in the stirrups and read the daily tabloid that is thrust into your hands, while the chap goes to work with several bottles and tins of dubious looking liquids. I don’t know what the stuff in them is, but they do the job nicely!
